Day 1 - Alexandria to Cairo

Cairo will be by road (approximately 3 hours) in an air-conditioned vehicle with a rest stop on the way. Upon arrival at Giza you will start your tour with a visit to
Sakkara, part of Memphis's massive necropolis, and the burial site of the most ancient of Pharaohs seeing the first
pyramids build in Egypt, the Step
Pyramid of King Djoser, designed by Imhotep the ancient Egyptian architect. Then a visit to the
Teti Pyramid, Tomb of Mereruca and other monuments in Sakkara followed by a transfer to Memphis, the ancient Capital of Egypt to visit the colossal statue of Ramses II and nearby a still half-buried
Hathor Temple. A drive to the famous Giza Plateau will reveal Egypt’s signature attractions, that of the Great
Pyramids, one of the Seven Wonders of the ancient world including the Great Pyramid of Cheops, middle Pyramids of Chephren, the smallest Pyramid of Mykerinos and mysterious
Sphinx, (known as the Father of Terror to the ancient Pharaohs). The tour includes a visit to the
Valley Temple facing the great Sphinx and a shopping tour to famous Bazaars and Papyrus Institutes in the Giza area with lunch at a good quality restaurant around Pyramids area. Back to your Cairo Hotel to check in and overnight in Cairo.
Day 2 - Cairo to Alexandria
After breakfast at the Hotel in Cairo, your private English-speaking Egyptologist Guide will escort you to the New Grand Egyptian Museum, also referred to as the Giza Museum, an archaeological museum located in Giza, Egypt, approximately 2 kilometers (1.2 miles) from the Giza pyramid complex. The GEM Complex is currently providing limited access to test site readiness and the visitor experience in anticipation of its official opening. At present, admission is restricted to the Main Galleries, Grand Hall, Grand Staircase, commercial area, and exterior gardens. Lunch at a local restaurant. Then you will visit the world-renowned Museum of Egyptian Antiquities which was built in a neo-classical style designed by the French architect Marcel Dourgnon and exhibits collections now exceeding 120000 masterpieces ranging from Pre-Dynastic era, Pharaonic era to the Greco-Roman period in Egypt including the treasures of the child King Tutankhamen, Pharaonic Gods and Goddesses. Finally, you will be escorted by your Guide back to the Cruise Ship according to your ship's departure time at Alexandria Port.
