Cruise Interior
Considered the Grandest design of all the Sonesta fleet, the Sonesta St George has an atmosphere as if serving royalty back in the old days. It’s interior design host a grand lobby with a most welcoming atmosphere and a taste of the ‘Gentleman’s Club’ feel using traditional furnishings and smartly blended colour scheme. With modern cabins, all suite, with en suite bathrooms, classic and modern in design with glorious Nile views from your balcony with large panoramic sliding windows for easy access.A choice of 2 lounges, the first being the main lounge with wonderful artwork on the walls and ceiling. The second lounge being the 4th floor level with splendid Nile views. The gym on board offers fitness equipment and a spa and massage facility. After a workout, relax and enjoy the spacious sundeck with sun loungers, seating area and bar. The restaurant is stylishly laid out for guests to mingle and get to know each other with very attentive waiters and chefs ready to serve you at your table with drinks.
Fine Dining
The Sonesta St George has the expected board dining experiences of excellence as are all of the Sonesta Nile Cruise Boats. Comments regarding the amazing quality,choice and tempting delights served in the Restaurant are always superb. With a huge range of buffet style foods at breakfast and lunch, with an evening sit down Al A Carte menu to tempt even the fussiest of eaters, it will guarantee a full stomach by the end of your holiday! Chefs are willing and happy to oblige those clients with special dietary needs such as wheat or nut allergies and there are plenty of options already available for vegetarians.
In Room Dining
There is always an option for in room dining in your cabin on the Sonesta St George if you required which covers all meal periods.Just contact Reception prior to the meal time required (throughout the day from breakfast to evening dinner) to ensure your order. If it is the A La Carte menu, the waiters will inform you of the menu for that evening.
Lounges and Bars
The Sonesta St George has the added advantage of 2 lounges and bars. The first Lounge has ornate designed interior with that ‘Gentleman’s Club’ feel to it and lovely paintings adorning the walls and ceiling. The second lounge is on the 4th deck with splendid views of the Nile whilst sipping cocktails and watching the sunset.
Afternoon Tea
Every day whilst sailing, at around 4pm every afternoon, you will be served a typical English style afternoon tea on the sundeck. Ranging from tea, coffee, cakes and sandwiches, re- live the colonial days of Agatha Christie’s Hercule Poirot whilst sailing the Nile. A real treat.
