Standard Room - Standard Room with a king-size or 2 single beds, 32 sqm with Nile view. Room can accommodate a maximum of 2 adults and 1 child in existing bedding. Extra bed at a charge is possible.

Duplex Suite - 1 king and 2 twin beds - Family Suite duplex level, 2 bedrooms with 1 king bed and 2 single beds, living room, Nile view. Room can accommodate a maximum of 4 adults and 2 children in existing bedding. Extra bed at a charge is not possible.

Villa - 1 king or 2 twin beds - Well-equipped one-bedroom villa with king or twin beds. Facilities include a large bathroom, dressing room or living room and a balcony.Room can accommodate a maximum of 2 adults and 1 child. An extra bed at a charge is possible.

Royal Villa - 2 bedrooms -  The Royal Villa features two bedrooms, a living room with a dining area, small kitchenette, two bathrooms and a toilet. The main bedroom with a king-size bed overlooks the Nile. The second room offers two single beds.The Royal Villa accommodates a maximum of 3 adults and 1 child. An extra bed is possible.

Superior Room - 2 single or 1 king bed - Superior Room with 1 king or two twin beds, 38 sqm or 32 sqm, overlooking the Nile. Room can accommodate a maximum of 2 adults and 2 children in existing bedding. Extra bed at a charge is possible.

Deluxe Room - 1 king or 2 twin beds - Deluxe rooms offer 1 king or 2 single beds on 65 sqm. Located on the ground or upper floors, they offer a view of the Nile from the veranda. The rooms come equipped with both a bathtub and shower. These rooms accommodate a maximum of 2 adults and 2 children. An extra bed is possible.

Orangerie - The Orangerie, with views over the pool and gardens, offers the famous Mövenpick buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner. If you prefer, you can choose from our à la carte selection of local and international dishes.It is the main restaurant, enlarged to an increased capacity of 240 seats and includes an open show kitchen concept where guests can watch the chefs in action. Floor to ceiling glass windows on three sides allow views to the garden, the pool, the Nile and Aswan.

The Lounge Bar - Flooded with light, our Lounge Bar is open all day for drinks, cocktails and refreshments. Drop in for a game of pool or to relax in front of the large flat-screen TV. There is also a live stage with piano.

Pool Restaurant - The pool side restaurant offers light à la carte dishes, snacks, fresh drinks and our famous Movenpick Ice cream.
 

Here in Egypt, the local currency is known as the Egyptian Pound. It can often be difficult to get smaller notes so it is advisable when you can, to change 200, 100 and 50 notes when you can to either 5, 10, or 20 Pound notes. The Hotel reception will offer you an exchange service and their will be a small commission charge on changing currencies ( they will take British Pounds, US Dollars and Euros). There are ATM machines and banks in Aswan City which will also take a small charge for using the machine overseas.
 

There is local transport in and around Aswan, with various options such as tours to Abu Simbel, and camel rides to St Simeon’s Monastery. Local Taxis are everywhere but not on the meter, so set a reasonable fare before getting in. There are also the local minibuses used by the locals, safe and very cheap but not really used by the tourists.Memphis Tours provides an excellent transport service with spacious vehicles taking you around Aswan  and  further afield. 

 

 

The Aswan Airport lies approximately 25 minutes (19km) from Aswan City and the Movenpick Island Hotel and hosts internal (domestic) flights within Egypt along with Scheduled and Charter flights arriving from other Middle East and African destinations. if you have not already booked your transfer from the Movenpick Island Hotel to the Airport or Train Station (arrival and and return), then working with the Hotel, Memphis Tours can arrange the transport for you in our modern air conditioned vehicles with a representative to assist you on arrival and return to and from the Movenpick Island Hotel Please click on this link for further information.
