The Arch of Hadrian in Jerash, Jordan is an 11-metre high triple-arched gateway Built to commemorate the visit of the Emperor Hadrian to Jerash in 129AD.
It was intended to become the main southern gate to jerash but the expansion has not been implemented. One unusual feature of its construction is the wreaths of carved acanthus leaves above the bases of the pillars, The columns are decorated with capitals at the bottom rather than the top
